Byron Saxton Biography
Byron Saxton is no stranger to the WWE Universe. This former ECW play-by-play announcer has traded in his designer suit for tights to get in the WWE NXT ring. A confident, articulate and versatile competitor, the college-educated Saxton not only uses his strength, but his intelligence, as a weapon.
Before joining WWE, Saxton grew up privileged in Burke, Va., and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He went on to become a news, sports and traffic reporter in Florida, but soon followed his boyhood dreams of becoming a WWE Superstar.
On WWE NXT season four, the self-assured, smart and strong Byron Saxton was first guided by WWE Pro Chris Masters. But a few weeks into the competition, Dolph Ziggler traded NXT Rookie Jacob Novak for Saxton.
Saxton returned to WWE NXT for season five, this time with WWE Universe favorite Yoshi Tatsu as his WWE Pro.
