Scott Hall Biography
Scott Hall first started wrestling in indy feds as a tag team wrestler. After doing the indy scene for a while, Hall joined the FCW and NWA promotions as the "Starship Coyote". After wrestling in these promotions for a while, he joined the AWA, where his success grew as Scott Hall. While in the AWA he held the AWA Tag Team Titles with Jim Garvin, Curt "Mr. Perfect" Henning, and Steve "William" Regal. After a small hiatus, he went to WCW and was managed by DDP as The Diamond Studd. After suffering an elbow injury and wallowing in the lower card, he went to the WWF in 1992 and was known as Razor Ramon, a bad ass-type biker. That was short lived, however, as his character was changed to a Cuban thug. He was brought in by Ric Flair to help dispose of Flair's rivals, thereby making him a heel. He started a rivalry with real life good friend Sean Waltman, known in the WWF as the 1-2-3 Kid. After suffering two embarrassing defeats to the Kid, his face turn came when was told by "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase that DiBiase was going to show him how to beat the Kid in a singles match. Hall cost DiBiase the match, distracting him while the 1-2-3 Kid got the roll up for the 3 count. Ramon and the Kid became occassional tag partners after this point, continuing their friendship. In 1993, there was a battle royal held and the last two men remaining would face each other for the vacant intercontinental title, and those two men were, Razor Ramon and "The Model" Rick Martel. Razor beat Martel to win his first ever Intercontinental title. There was controversy over this, however, as Hall had never officially defeated Michaels. All the speculation was put to an end, however, at Wrestlemania X, as Ramon beat Shawn Michaels in what many call the greatest Ladder Match in the history of pro wrestling. At SummerSlam 94, Hall had what would come to be another classic match with the Heart Break Kid for the IC belt. This time it was HBK, with Diesel in his corner, vs. Razor Ramon, with Chicago Bears star Walter Payton in his corner. Payton helped Ramon win his 2nd IC title. Over the next few years Hall would win and lose the IC Championship 2 more times. The 4th and last IC title Razor won was at an In Your House PPV in 1995. It was suppose to be Shawn Michaels against Dean Douglas, but earlier that week, Shawn was attacked by 9 thugs outside of a Syracuse Night Club, therefore, HBK forfeitted his belt to Dean Douglas and that night Razor faced Douglas and beat him for the title. He also faced HBK at Summerslam 1995 in a rematch from Wrestlemania X, this time in a double-ladder match. Hall was also part of a group called "The Kliq" that consisted of HBK, HHH, Diesel (Kevin Nash), Razor and the 1-2-3 Kid. They were notorious for running the backstage area and causing trouble. Around six months after the Summerslam match, Hall gave the WWF his 90 day notice. His last match was one of his most infamous. Hall put over Kliq buddy Hunter Hearst Helmsley at Madison Square Garden. Later in the night, Helmsley and Hall came out after the main event, which featured a cage match between other Kliq-mates Michaels and Nash. The four men embraced in the middle of the ring, which was unacceptable to Vince McMahon, as some of the men were faces and some of them were Heels. In 1996, Hall jumped ships and went to WCW.
